We are looking for a junior researcher with the ability to work independently and with a high potential for development. Experience in teaching and research as well as research experience with innovative research approaches after the doctorate are required. These should be complementary to existing subject areas covered by Bayreuth’s Social and Cultural Anthropology Department and could further develop the current focus areas of the Chair of Social Anthropology. The focus on “Social Belongings” can be demonstrated, for example, in the areas of gender or the body through studies on sexuality, disability, queerness, ageing, or relationships of closeness and care, but also with reference to questions of (state) citizenship, violence, or intersectional approaches in relation to gender and the body.
