Awards and Grants

• 2019 – 2020. Two years post-doctoral fellowship by the Fritz Thyssen Foundation, University of Bayreuth, Germany.
• 2012 – 2016. Three years grant by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to carry out my PhD research, University of Bayreuth.
• November 2013 – April 2014 (six months) fieldwork funding by the International Graduate School of African Studies, University of Bayreuth.
• December 2012 – May 2013 (six months) fieldwork funding by the International Graduate School of African Studies (BIGSAS), University of Bayreuth.
• October 2011 – October 2012 (one year) scholarship for the BIGSAS Preparatory Course by the International Graduate School of African Studies, University of Bayreuth.
• 2008 – 2010. Two years grant by the Chr. Michelsen Institute (CMI) of the University of Bergen; to carry out the master programs at the University of Khartoum (Norwegian In-Country Scholarship Program).
